Since the dawn of creation God has always been at work. He is at work in the world, and He is at work in our lives. God’s most significant work is the work that took place long ago on the cross of Calvary.
We strive to be God’s agents in the world. The prophet Isaiah wrote, “But now you, O LORD, are our Father; we are the clay, you are our potter; we are all the works of your hand.” (Isaiah 64:8) Working in our lives, God forgives, redeems, and restores us. He draws us close to Himself and works in us a desire to serve Him and to serve the world around us.
Working in the world, God accomplishes His purposes by working through His people. A question that a Christian should always ask of himself or herself is, “How can God use me to accomplish His purposes today?”
Our ministry here at Holy Cross is built around God’s work carried out here at home, in our community, and abroad.
