Welcome From Pastor Russ

Greetings in the name of our risen Lord Jesus Christ, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. Whether you are looking for a church home or wanting to find out more about what it means to be a Christian, you might have a lot of questions about our congregation.
Abigail Van Buren famously wrote, “A church is not a museum of saints, it’s a hospital for sinners.” Holy Cross is no different; we are just a family of believers humbly seeking to follow Jesus, grow in faith, and pursue the things that God desires for us as we live out our lives in Him. Sometimes we get this right, sometimes we fail miserably, but we always trust in the power of Jesus to forgive and lead us forward.

A church is not a museum for saints, it’s a hospital for sinners.

Abigail Van Buren
I was called to serve as the Pastor at Holy Cross in 2012, and have been serving here ever since. It is always exciting to experience what God is doing among us as a congregation and look for new ways to answer God’s call to share the Good News about Jesus with those who do not yet know Him. In addition to being a Pastor, I am also a husband and a father. My wife, Elisa and I have been blessed with three young children (Trent, Miles, and Lena) who bring us much joy and much exhaustion. If I am not at church or spending time with my family, you might find me taking on an overly ambitious home improvement project or kayak fishing (both of which I thoroughly enjoy).
I hope to meet you in person on a Sunday morning. If you have any questions about our congregation or what it means to be a Christian please don’t hesitate to call.
In Christ,
Pastor Russ
